Hi dear Friends

GRACE TO YOU & PEACE FROM GOD OUR FATHER AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

Thank you for spending this monthly “10 minutes of fellowship” with me, listening to all I want to share with you

THE “TWO LIGHTS”

LampLight BulbOn our arrival in Moscow on a visit, instead of greeting us as the “Tula-ites” (as you know we live in Tula), Philip greeted us with “Welcome to the Two Lights!”  I don’t know if it was accidental or on purpose, but it sounds good hey?  Nice to be called “Two lights” - for JESUS of course. From the 15th of June we might be called the “Ukrainian knights” :)

The Rest Of The Lord - Carol Singleton

Going up the mountain“Then Moses went up into the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.  The glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days.  On the seventh day God called for Moses out of the midst of the cloud.  … Moses entered into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain, and Moses was on the mountain forty days and nights.” Exodus 24:15-18

Dear Friends,

I greet you in the powerful Name of Jesus Christ!

I need to share a very important shift in my life and ministry with you so that you can understand what God is currently doing and so that you can understand how to support us in prayer during this time.

When I returned to Russia in January I was filled with the new assignment and vision God released to me of the ‘Voice of the Bride’.  Yet, I was barely a week in Russia when I started feeling that I have absolutely no strength to mobilise the team and the churches who took part in the train journey!  Until I realised that it is not the time to run with the vision now.

GOVERNMENT OF GOD

carol-20090513-openheaven...I will shake the heavens and the earth. And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the [ungodly] nations, and I will overthrow the chariots and those who ride in them, and the horses and their riders shall go down, every one by the sword of his brother.” Haggai 2:21-22

“And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heavens shall be given to the people of the saints fo the Most High; His Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.Daniel 7:27

Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the time forth, even forevermore.  The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.Isaiah 9:7

Dear fellow Kingdom Expanders,

Pray for us as we will be returning to Moscow this coming Tuesday. Some fresh-out-of-the-oven news is that Moreletta Church (pastor Elza and team) will do an Esther conference with us towards the end of October in Artashat, Armenia, which is a stone’s throne from Mt. Ararat.

If you want to join this conference - you can fly in to Armenia directly from London, Paris or Turkey - let me know.

Looking ahead into the more distant future, we see the rise of a global church planting network - where Christians from all walks of life will take hands and simply DO THE WORK OF THE KINGDOM.

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of Him.

In Christ,
Hugo

A Wake-up Call…

Dear Friends,

We greet you from a cool Moscow - around 7 degrees C, after having been considerably warmer recently for a few days. Seems winter just doesn’t want to let go!

For those that don’t know, we share a large apartment with Corrie and Olesya Zaayman in Novokosino, a region in the east of Moscow. We can truly say that God has blessed us tremendously, since we get along very well. Apartments are extremely expensive in Moscow, and apart from having the opportunity to live with close friends, the arrangement suits us well.

We were recently reminded of a harsh reality here in Russia - something that is always present but rarely seen. We received a phone call a few days ago. I answered and a female voice asked for Aleksandr, the owner of our apartment. Aleksandr was the pastor of a small Baptist church that gathered in the apartment before he and his family felt led by the Lord to plant a church for Russian people in America.

Friends

Greetings from Moscow!!

I was just reminded this week that we are still in Russia. Wednesday was the first day after winter warm enough to wear only a short sleeved shirt only to wake up Thursday morning looking at beautiful snow falling outside and freezing temperatures.

I thank you for your prayers last week. I enjoyed the preaching in the church and we had a wonderful time in God’s presence and I believe that God touched a lot of hearts.

Mario Steyn

Here are two audio sermons by Mario Steyn, a pastor from Lewende Woord (Living Word) Church in South Africa, at Kingdom of Heaven Church in Moscow during an intensive ministry visit in March/April 2009.

The first few minutes are purely in Russian, but when Mario begins the sermons are in English with Russian translation.

Corrie and Olesya ZaaymanDear Family in Christ

We greet you in the name of Jesus!

Thank you for your prayers for ‘Motivization’. (This word is a Russian creation of two words they threw together to motivate young people to get them into action to spread the Good News of Jesus. Motivization is my translation, but it sounds similar).
