SA... Here I come!
(Friday, 16 December 2005) Written by Albert
Yes, that is right! I'm all packed and ready to go! Ready for action, yes, but even more ready for some good rest! After a long and sometimes very difficult year, I'm really looking forward to a good time of rest and just connecting with my family and friends back home. I say difficult, because even though it was a very good and exiting year it was also a year of "planting"... where the Lord is planting me into this nation, people and culture while at home life goes on as normal with friends marrying and family members dying. I was planning only to come to South Africa in March, when everybody is already moving in the new year and has left the holiday spirit behind. But, I suppose the Lord knows better and wants to bless me with some peace and rest before we start seeing churches and prayer supporters in February. Yes, "we"... I'm bringing a Russian friend with. I was bragging about our unique culture, beautiful country and warm hospitality... Now, South Africa, you will have to prove it! Natasha, from Siberia, will travel with me to the different churches and maybe share a bit on what is happening in Russia, where the students and young people are at and basically just give you a clearer picture of this country the Lord has called me to. Please pray for the time of rest in December/January. I pray that it will not just be a time of physical rest, but also time to sharpen my focus on Him, the one that this is all about! Please pray for our traveling, and church visits in February. Pray that I'll be able to speak clearly and get across the vision that the Lord has given me and that people might be able to catch this vision! And then also pray for the preparations to come back to Russia. Pray for invitation letters, plane tickets, registrations and all the normal red-tape that goes with this... Pray that I'll be able to connect with the right people! Pray for Godly encounters! Meetings with people that the Lord arranged long before I even thought of anything like it! Thank you for your faithful support and encouraging in this year! May the Lord bless you more that abundantly for all your prayers, finances and even all the encouraging SMSes & e-mails!
