Leaders of Leaders (3rd Generation)
key.jpg A Father-Father-Child-relationship exists when a leader first becomes a leader of leaders; when a "father's" "son" him/herself becomes a "father" by taking resposibility for the discipling of a new or young believer. Even so, the "father" continues to be discipled, and to disciple his/her own spiritual children

A Father-Father-Son-relationship exists when a leader's "grandson" him/herself becomes an established believer through growth in the faith. Even so, the "grandfather" continues to be discipled, and to disciple his/her own spiritual children.

  • From the Overseer  ( 18 items )
News, teachings and general communication by Hugo van Niekerk, Mission Russia's overseer.
  • Evangelism and Discipleship  ( 2 items )
Evangelism refers to what happens during the time that a person is not yet saved - before he/she enters the kingdom of God (represented by the golden dome at the top of the graphic illustration). Evangelism consists of prayer, sowing, contact and friendship.

Discipleship refers to what happens after a person crosses over into the kingdom of God through being born from above (re-birth). It's the process of growing in the Lord - from being a new or young believer, to being established in the faith, to becoming a leader in the church, to becoming a leader of leaders.

  • Prayer  ( 1 items )
Prayer is the foundation underlying the whole of evangelism. We first speak to God about the people in our harvesting field, before we speak to the people about the Lord of the harvest.

  • Sowing  ( 1 items )
Sowing is proclaiming the Word of God to the unreached. It may be done by many different means, such as evangelism crusades, Bible and/or tract distribution, one-on-one friendship evangelism etc. It may also simply entail being a witness of the faith through the way we live our lives.

  • Contact  ( 1 items )
Contact in this sense means not simply making contact with a non-believer to proclaim to him/her the gospel of the kingdom of God, but an actual response from the person we are reaching out to.

  • Friendship  ( 1 items )
Friendship means the fellowship and trust-relationship between non-believer and believer that develops out of the response made by the non-believer to the Gospel that was proclaimed to him/her in some manner by the believer.

  • Birthing, Establishing and Multiplication  ( 1 items )
Birthing, in the context of the Church, refers to the process whereby a person steps into the kingdom of heaven, the eternal kingdom of God, having left the kingdom of Darkness which is ruled over by the enemy of our souls, Satan. The person has become a new believer, a spiritual baby, after having been "born from above" (born again - John 3:3; 1 Peter 1:23). Birthing is when the seed is in the ground, dies to itself and begins to bring forth a new being.

Establishing refers to the process whereby a new or young believer is established in the faith, learns to recognise the voice of the Holy Spirit, becomes aware of his/her giftings to serve (and starts to do so), and becomes versed in the Word of God. Such a person is referred to as a "son" in the kingdom. The seed in the ground has sprouted roots and established itself in the fertile soil.

Multiplication occurs when the established believer takes responsibility for the spiritual development (discipleship) of others. The believer becomes a leader, then a leader of leaders when his/her "children" (and later on "grandchildren") are themselves established and starts to take responsibility for others. The seed has grown into a plant and bears fruit.

  • New & Established Believers (1st Generation)  ( 1 items )
A Child in this illustration depicts the new or young believer, having entered the kingdom of God through repentance and rebirth. The new believer is in many ways like a newborn baby, needing to be fed "milk" and "soft food" (spiritually speaking), making many errors, and being dependant on the parent (the established believer discipling him/her) for growth and direction.

A Son is a believer (male or female) that has grown in faith, having been established as a son in the Father's house. The son continues to be discipled by his "parent," but is capable of knowing right from wrong, has become more mature in the Word of God, and has learned to hear and recognise the voice of the Holy Spirit.

  • Leaders (2nd Generation)  ( 1 items )
A Father-Child relationship exists when an established believer takes resposibility for the discipling of a new or young believer. The "father", him/herself continues to be discipled by his/her spiritual parent.

A Father-Son relationship exists when the "father's" "child" has become an established believer in the faith. Even so, the "father" him/herself continues to be discipled by his/her spiritual parent.

  • Leaders of Leaders of Leaders (4th Generation)  ( 1 items )
A Father-Father-Father-relationship exists when a "grandfather" becomes a "great-grandfather" - i.e. his/her "grandson" has him/herself become a "father" by taking resposibility for the discipling of a new or young believer. Even so, the "great-grandfather" continues to be discipled, and to disciple his/her own spiritual children.

  • Resources of the Kingdom  ( 1 items )
Resources refer to the resources that are released by individuals once they have entered the kingdom of God, and by the church as a whole, for the purpose of evangelising those that are still trapped in the kingdom of darkness.

  • The Kingdom of God  ( 9 items )
The Kingdom of God, also called the kingdom of heaven, represented in our graphical illustration on the front page by both the golden globe (signifying the manifest glory of God), as well as the multi-coloured triangle, illustrating both the kingdom of God growing on earth (Daniel's stone that became a mountain filling the earth - Daniel 2:35,44), and the New Jerusalem (the church), which descends from God out of Heaven (Revelation 21:9-27, 22:1-5). This is the domain of the living God, growing on earth today in the hearts of believers

  • Jesus, our Highest Goal  ( 1 items )
Jesus Christ - Son of God, Son of man - the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and end of our faith. Jesus, God Himself incarnate, entered human history when He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and was born as a human baby - not in a palace or other royal dwelling, but in a humble manger among animals, when his parents couldn't find place to stay at the inn at Bethlehem, Israel.

At the age of thirty He was baptised in the Jordan by John the Baptist (as an example to us), and received the Holy Spirit immediately afterwards. This started His earthly ministry which lasted approximately three years and during which He gathered many disciples, trained twelve apostles, healed countless sick people, exorcised many demons and raised a number of people from the dead.

At the age of approximately 33-34, He was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve apostles, and delivered into the hands of the chief priests and elders of the nation who sought to kill Him because of their envy at His popularity and because they saw Him as a heretic, a betrayer of the Jewish faith. He was brought before the high priest, Caiaphas, who sent him to the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate. Pilate found no fault in Him and wanted to release Him, but the mob, incited by the chief priests and pharisees, insisted He be crucified. Eventually Pilate relented and delivered Him over to be crucified. This was, however, pre-ordained by God from before the foundation of the earth, and Jesus died to pay the price for our sins - thereby reconciling man (those that believe in Jesus) with God.

Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and raised to life again on the morning of the third day by the resurrection power of God - the same power that enables all who believe in Christ to obtain eternal life in the age to come. He appeared to his disciples and many others over a period of many days after His resurrection, and then He ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Father. Fifty days later the Holy Spirit was poured out on the disciples as they prayed together in an upper room in Jesrusalem. Also called the Promise of God, Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit, the third Person in the Godhead, to take His place on earth and to enable His disciples to do the same things He did, and more. Even today we may receive the Holy Spirit and His giftings upon believing in Jesus, empowering us for service in the kingdom of God, until Jesus returns (as He promised) to bring this age to a close.
