Called to Be!
...Adam was formed so that I could walk with him, not so that he could tend the garden. I did not create Adam because I needed a gardener. Work is a result of life, not the purpose and the meaning of life...
 Dear Prayer Friends,
I greet you in the wonderful Name of Jesus Christ, 'I AM'!
I am seperating myself for God during the month of August, seeking His face and counsel for the coming academic year here in Russia. And I am having a wonderful, glorious time in His presence!
GOD DIRECTS OUR FOOTSTEPS
At first I could feel the slight anxiety and fear in my heart not knowing exactly what God expects of me for this coming year after I return to Russia. God, however, quickly dealt with the fear and anxiety because it makes us deaf to the voice of God and I would never be able to hear Him clearly while fear and anxiety was in me. Fear and anxiety comes when you don't really understand WHO God wants to be for you in that situation, and it is built on lies like 'maybe God is not going to come through for you' or 'you will fail those around you' or 'you are not able...', etc.
The way to break the power of the enemy is the way Jesus did it when He was confronted by the enemy in the desert: through the Word of God. Jesus said, 'It is written...', and by agreeing with God, He overcame the satan. So, God provided me with that single blow of the sword that destroyed the fear and anxiety in my life and brought peace and rest in my spirit as I continued waiting on God.
Psalm 32:8 "I, the Lord, will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and I will watch over you". After receiving a promise like this, how can you still be anxious? Praise God that He is true and faithful to His Word!
WHAT WE DO IS A RESULT OF WHO WE ARE
During my time of prayer God revealed to me that if I become who He made me to be, His plan and purpose for my life will be a natural result of it. I realized that I previously focussed on being in God's perfect will and time, doing what He purposed in His heart for me, and through fulfilling my purpose in Him I will become the Godly woman He wants me to be. But I had it all wrong!
God said that is why His Name is 'I AM' ('I am Love', 'I am Righteousness', 'I am Grace', etc). Because He is Love, everything He does is filled, stamped, covered with His love. He created us according to His image, and therefore we must become love, righteousness, grace, etc. When we become it, the Creator God Himself will start moving and flowing through you in deeds fulfilling the plans and purposes He has for you in His heart.
I then felt I should read a book that I had for quite a time and just opened it, exactly at a place where it speaks about this issue! I am going to take the liberty to quote a part of it, because I am certain that it will minister to you the way it ministered to me.
"Many believe they must discover their purpose for living, that life is about purpose. But in truth, life is purpose. Meaning is found in the fact of life itself. So may people try to find fulfillment in what they do, instead of who they are and Who I am. Adam was formed so that I could walk with him, not so that he could tend the garden. I did not create Adam because I needed a gardener. Work is a result of life, not the purpose and the meaning of life.
...Your fulfillment flows out of communion with Me. All things find their true meaning for existence in Me. When you separate yourself from Me, the purpose for which I created you is denied. When you fulfill your purpose by spending time with Me, everything that you need in order to accomplish your assignment in life is released. Fellowship with Me was Adam's purpose; tending the Garden was his assignment. Out of communion with Me comes creativity. Creativity is My life force, giving release to new potential and new things. All that is needed for life, I have provided.
Your enemy, satan, took his focus off Me and, as a result, glorified his own ability. He thought that his reason for existence was to make music. He failed to see that his true purpose was to serve Me. He was created for My pleasure.
... I made you to be with Me, to enjoy Me and to walk with Me. Everything flows out of intimacy with Me. Purpose, meaning, goals, even creativity - all these things are a result of your relationship with Me, and are enhanced by the time you spend with Me. My nature is 'I AM' not 'I DO'. Without Me you can do nothing. You are a human being, not a human doing. You must learn how to be.
I have made you for My pleasure. I am teaching you to appreciate life and how to be fully alive. Many people are dormant and asleep, much like trees in the winter, but My life is like springtime. I am bringing you into springtime." (Taken from 'The Secret Place' written by Dr. Dale A. Fife)
I trust God that this word will minister deeply to you and that you will become who God made you to be, and that His purpose and plan for your life will overflow out of your relationship with Him!
