A Mandate for Sowing - Evangelism in Moscow |

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes..." (Rom. 1:16a)
"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?" (Rom. 10:14-15a)
"Then He [Jesus] spoke many things to them in parables, saying: 'Behold, a sower went out to SOW...'" (Mat. 13:3)
As we PRAY, God equips us and guides us in His will. In answer to our prayers, people's hearts are also being prepared to receive the Kingdom seed of the gospel.
First we speak to God about people and then the time arrives when we speak to people about God! There's a time to PRAY and then a time to SOW.
Within the next 10 days 20,000 leaflets will be distributed to homes in the southwest region of Moscow. This will be done by a professional company, putting these leaflets in people's mail boxes. Another 2,000 leaflets will be distributed by members of our church in Moscow.
As people respond via phone/e-mail/snail mail/attending our Sunday service, they will be visited and relationships will be established, leading to discipleship relationships and the planting of new home churches.
The southwest of Moscow has a population of more than 1.2 million people, so there are more then 300,000 mail boxes waiting to receive gospel leaflets. If we would distribute leaflets in batches of 20,000 twice a month, it would take us 8 months to cover the southwest of Moscow.
Also keep in mind that we want to send out new series of follow-up leaflets to the whole region.
I am looking for people who specifically feel led to give financially to help us sow seed amongst the multitudes of Moscow. For only $200 (R1,200), we can PRINT and DISTRIBUTE another batch of 20,000 leaflets!
Some seed sown will quickly start to bear fruit, other seed sown will cause fruit to come forth only after many months or even years. Some seed sown will be just in time to save someone of commiting suicide, divorce or kill an unborn child. Other seed sown will reach people who will become apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, equipping the Body of Christ for the work of ministry.
Jesus Christ gave His life so that people can have eternal life. How could we ever dare to withhold this most wonderful news from people? We have heard, we have received, we are being showered with daily rivers of undeserved godly favour and blessing - how can we not pass on what we have freely received?
"...Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!" (John 4:35b)
