“Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Mat. 6:10) “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.” (Acts 5:42)
Matthew 6 verse 10 is the foundation for everything that we do. To see the Father’s will be done on earth as in heaven is a very radical truth that requires great revelation and faith to comprehend.
The Kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom that manifests in the natural world. When the Kingdom comes into your life, it comes into your home, literally bringing heaven down into your home! Romans 14:17 states that the Kingdom is a matter of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Can you imagine your home filled with an abundance of righteousness, peace and joy? Maybe it is already a daily reality in your life. That is a sure sign that the Kingdom of God is being established in your home!
In heaven the angels cry “Holy, holy, holy!” Our homes should be places of holiness. In heaven the multitudes from all nations come together to worship God; our homes should be places of unity and worship.
Heaven is filled with the presence of God. The Word says that God is a God of love. Therefore, above all else, our homes are to become abodes filled with the amazing love of the Father. Love in marriage, love between parents and children, love in the air! A home filled with the presence of God is like a fruitful garden where everything blossoms, grows and bears fruit.
One of the foundational keys to success is to recognize what God is doing and then to fall in line with Him. In many nations – especially China and European nations – home churches is what the Holy Spirit is doing today. Home churches are more than “home groups” or “cells”. They are on a different level in terms of responsibility, authority and freedom to move as the Holy Spirit guides them.
Since the very early stages of the church, the home was the heart of a church. Very often different dimensions of ministry will take place on the home church level. Corporate meetings have a much more apostolic flavor when home churches come together to worship God, receive apostolic input and proclaim the Lordship of Jesus Christ in the city.
Most of Russia lives in high-rise buildings. They vary from ugly gray 5-storey buildings with dark entrances and green corridors to ultra-modern 25-storey skyscrapers with their own gymnasiums and a penthouse on top. When I look at the huge building complexes filling Moscow from horizon to horizon, I can clearly envision a home church in every building. What begins with one open heart can lead to a network of home churches in a building complex. THIS IS WHERE WE ARE AIMING AT!
We will still be amazed by the work of God as we see home churches appearing across the nation like mushrooms in a Russian forest. When a healthy home church starts to multiply again and again, no demon in hell can stop the harvest to be brought into the Kingdom of God.
As heaven starts to come to more and more homes, a city starts to change and transform from the inside out. Eventually cold statistics testify to a major spiritual warming in the city.
In Mat. 6:33 Jesus says: “Seek first the kingdom of God…”. Dear friend, the best way you can stand with us in Russia is by first seeking the Kingdom in your home. Then start to pray and act so that heaven will come to homes in your community. As your heart turns on fire for your community, add Russia to your prayers and actions. Allow the river of the Spirit to take you further. As you continue to abide in Him, know for sure that God’s purpose for your life WILL be fulfilled!
Please pray with me: “Father, we ask that Your Kingdom will come and Your will be done in Russia as it is in heaven. Let heaven come to multitudes of homes in Russia! We ask this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.”
