Dear friends

I greet you from Moscow, Russia, in the name of Jesus Christ, our beloved King.

I thank God for every day I can spend in Moscow, building the new church that is growing and maturing before our very eyes. We constantly realize that what is happening is above our understanding and ability. Truly the Holy Spirit is at work!

To me, maybe the most important times are when our home churches gather together to experience yet another evening in God's heavenly presence. One of the keys is the simplicity and 'imperfection' when the children of God gather together in homes.

I constantly remind myself and the people around me that when we will see such heavenly gatherings of home churches multiplied 100 000 times in apartments across Moscow, we will truly see city transformation. Pray that we will continually experience the three essential phases of all life, whether natural or spiritual: BIRTHING, ESTABLISHING and MULTIPLICATION.

On Sunday - after a young Muslim man was born again - I was reminded of a conversation that I had on Saturday, when I was told that Moscow might be the city with the most Muslims in Europe. This figure is apparently 3 million, underlining the incredible opportunities that we as church have in Moscow to bring in a great harvest of Muslims.

The dynamics of a world city are truly amazing: here we can reach people from many, many different nations, without ever going there as missionaries. Yes, we WILL send out missionaries to those nations, but we need to understand that God has brought a tremendous harvest to our very doorstep.

SOME NEEDS TO PRAY FOR:

I ask you to pray for musical equipment for our church. We are growing from strength to strength and we need the equipment to match that growth.

I also ask you to pray for good wheels for us. I need to daily visit many different places in Moscow which is simply impossible to do with public transport. By constantly visiting people in their homes, praying for the sick and visiting home churches all through the city, the movement of home churches will start to gather more and more momentum until it becomes a mighty river!
For at least $30 000 we can buy a good (basic) car.

I pray that God will bless you as you stand with us in this crucial time in the history of the church in Russia.

With love in Him
