Dear friends
I greet you from a white Moscow in the wonderful name of our Lord, Saviour and Friend, Jesus Christ. As 2006 dawns we are looking ahead with a great expectation of what the Lord is about to do in Russia and the nations.
The Kingdom Mountain
In Dan. 2:44 it is written: "And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever."
We are living in the days of fulfilment of these words spoken 2500 years ago. 2000 years ago Jesus said: "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force." Since then until now the Kingdom Mountain (see Dan. 2:35&44) is expanding powerfully across the earth.
What You Believe About The Future Will Determine How You Live Today
Don't let any weak end-time doctrine that has appeared in the last 100 years ever cheat you into thinking that anything good that God ever wants to do for you, your city and your nation all lies in the future, always beyond the horizon... No true reformer has ever had such futile, passivity-inspiring notions.
"He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love." (Col. 1:13)
The kingdom of God is being established IN us and THROUGH us. Jesus says: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Look what the Lord is doing in our day: an estimated 60 000 people are daily born again into the kingdom of God! (John 3:4&5)
I pray that God will bless you with the power of His Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8) as we all together prepare to preach the gospel to the suffering multitudes in 2006. May He also give you grace to help others bring the gospel of the kingdom (Mat. 4:23, Mat. 9:35, Mat. 13:3&13) to the nations (Mat. 28:19&20).
1. In the coming year Mission Russia will put top priority on establishing the Union of Christians Church in Moscow. Within the next few months, the church's website - both in Russian and English - will be launched on www.moscowchurch.info.
2. Two of our top missionaries have recently completed a church planting school in St. Petersburg, which will now be followed by 6 church plants around St. Petersburg. The couple will soon leave for Kyrgyzstan, where they will minister at various locations.
3. Carol and Olya will continue to equip and mobilize prayer warriors in Russia. Derick is also linking up with them, focusing on the eventual establishing of 24 hour prayer and worship in Moscow.
4. We are planning to open an Christian Arts School within the next months in Moscow, working with the beautiful people from Creare Ministries in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Christine Mentz will be heading up this school.
5. While continuing to strengthen our position in Moscow, in the next few years Mission Russia will once again focus to place out missionaries in the regions across Russia. If you are called to Russia, you need to call us without hesitation.
6. We will continue to ask, seek and knock (Mat. 7:7, 8), as we are (spiritually) building the first phase of the Union of Christians church, which is to bring it to a level of 1000 members and 100 home churches.
Friends, stand with us in asking, seeking and knocking in order to see a church established in Moscow that will bring in the multitudes of Moscow, Russia and other nations.
"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. (Mat7:8)
7. We want to especially thank those who are already building with us through your prayer and financial giving. May you see a great harvest as you sow into fertile ground!
I bless you with these amazing words: "So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work." (2 Cor. 9:7&8)
Contact us today to sow into good ground, expecting (1) sufficiency in all things and (2) an abundance for every good work.
In Him
