Question Three (Where The Rubber Hits The Road): "HOW?"
What is God's STRATEGY for man to have dominion? What is God's strategy for seeing His kingdom multiply across the earth? The answer is right there, in Gen. 1:28, where God says: "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it." As we fill the earth, we subdue it. Filling the earth is the result of multiplying; multiplying is the result of being fruitful.
Thus: Fruitfulness >> Multiplication >> Filling The Earth >> Dominion
We therefore see that FRUITFULNESS (the strategy) will lead to the kingdom of God established on earth as it is in heaven (the vision).
The two key scriptures in the Bible to unlock the principles of fruitfulness are John 15:1-8,16 and Mat. 13:18-23. In John 15:16 Jesus says: "...I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain..."
We aren't simply called to be faithful; we are called to be fruitful!
Here is the key to fruitfulness: Abiding in Christ. Jesus says: "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, BEARS MUCH FRUIT; for without me you can do nothing" (John 15:5).
The key to fruitfulness is abiding in Christ. Without Him there is only one thing we can do: Nothing.
The parable of the sower in Mat. 13 contains revelation that made my heart jump when I first saw it. Here we see how the VISION and STRATEGY are linked together; here we see how fruitfulness leads to the expansion of the kingdom of God on earth. In the parable of the sower we discover three stages of growth that eventually leads to multiplication of the Kingdom on earth. We call these three stages "Three Spiritual Processes." Everything we do, every program we commit to, every project we launch is focused on these Three Spiritual Processes.
Here they are:
First Process: BIRTHING A new plant or tree comes forth when the ground receives a seed. The ground is man's heart. The seed is the word of the kingdom (Mat. 13:19). In order for the seed to be received, man needs to have faith in his heart.
Second Process: ESTABLISHING A plant is established when its roots go down into the ground (Mat. 13:21). Man is called to be rooted and established. "...that you, being rooted and grounded (established) in love..." (Eph. 3:17).
Third Process: MULTIPLICATION Multiplication takes place when a plant or tree produces fruit (Mat. 13:23). Fruit always contain the seed of that which was sown. Oranges have the seed of oranges inside; apples have apple seed and so on. Kingdom fruit have kingdom seed inside!
A person first receives the seed of the word of the Kingdom, causing him to be born-again (BIRTHING). Secondly the person becomes and established Christian, rooted and established in the love of the Father (ESTABLISHING). Finally the person starts to bear fruit, preaching the word of the Kingdom to others, seeing many others receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour (MULTIPLICATION). Through multiplication the Kingdom of God is being established on the earth.
