Question Four (Straight Talk): RESOURCES

We have now looked at the first three crucial questions to life dealing with MOTIVES, VISION and STRATEGY.  To walk in the strategy that leads to the goal, we need resources!  In Gen. 1:28 we see where resources come from and in what way they come: "Then God blessed them..."

This is an important revelation!  Firstly we see that all resources come from God, secondly we see that all resources are released through people.  Have you ever seen money, cars and computers raining down from heaven on somebody's head?  This could be dangerous!  We see that money comes through people who have been chosen and entrusted by God to channel His resources for the sake of His Kingdom.

Let us take another resource: time.  At my best I can maybe manage to work an average of 14 hours a day.  Let us say that a dedicated Christian minister gives on average 10 hours a day to ministry.  We are so limited in ourselves and we need to realize that.  Only TOGETHER - when we are in unity with the universal Body of Christ - can we do all things through Christ.

I can only make so many phone calls a day, preach so many sermons a day, meet with so many people a day.  After that I need to rest, eat and sleep. In my twenties I received many revelations of what I CAN do, in my thirties I am receiving many revelations of what I CAN'T do and - praise God - what I'm not supposed to do!  Now, instead of trying do it all myself, I build a team of people moving in unity, releasing a multitude of heaven's resources.

So, for example, if I already work 10 hours a day and see that I need so many more hours to accomplish all that God has called me to do, instead of putting myself on a sure-to-burnout track of 18 working hours a day, I should simply get people in the place where the heavenly resource of time will be released through them.  That means that 100 people have potential time resources of 1000 hours a day, and 1000 people have potential time resources of 10,000 hours every single day!  Try to work as hard as you want, you won't beat that!
