Mission Russia Update

Dear Friends,

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ASK or THINK, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.” (Eph. 3:20&21)

Greetings from Moscow in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ!

SUNDAY NIGHT ON KURSKIY TRAIN STATION – READY FOR LAUNCH!

On Sunday night, 48 pastors, ministers, intercessors and missionaries gathered together on the Kurski Train Station in the center of Moscow. When Victor and I arrived there just after 10 in the evening, we found a good part of one of the halls in the station building occupied with our team, excited and smiling, radiating with the presence of the Holy Spirit. The atmosphere was filled with expectation before boarding for the train for the first leg of their 9302 km journey to Vladivostok.

As I was observing the faces of the group, including pastors and prayer warriors from St. Petersburg, Rostov, the Urals, Siberia and the Far East, I was still in awe of what God did at the previous day’s Fire of the Bride in Moscow. During that conference, prophetic word was released for Moscow, with a strong focus on the Kingdom of God and the calling of the church in Moscow to be like Joseph, releasing great resources that will bring blessing to the whole of Russia.

At one stage Rika and I called leaders representing the different regions of Russia to the stage, hugging them and praying with them, asking God to give us as the church in Moscow the grace to be a blessing to the churches in the different regions of Russia.

The high point of the evening for me was when the group of prophets prophetically handed the key of Moscow to me, a beautiful, 18 cm long iron key. Through that prophetic action God really confirmed again in my heart what I have been feeling stronger and stronger in the last year: God is giving us the keys to see the Kingdom of God come in power and might in Moscow, to see the huge harvest of Moscow and Russia gathered in before Judgment Day.

By the time you read this letter, Fire of the Bride conferences have already been conducted in Rostov (Southern Region), St. Petersburg (North West Region), Moscow (Central Region), Nizhniy Novgorod (Privolzhe Region), Ekaterinburg (the Ural Region, seperating Europe from Asia) and Novosibirsk (the capital of Siberia and the east-west centre of Russia). Today they will be arriving in Khabarovsk northwest of China, and then they will complete the trip in Vladivostok.

We are constantly receiving reports from our team on the train that they are doing very well! Pray for Carol who, in my opinion, is a real hero of faith. Carol has a phenomenal team surrounding her, each one doing his part to make this ministry trip a huge success.

BLESSED KYRGYZSTAN MINISTRY WITH HEIDI BAKER

Dave has returned today from Kyrgyzstan, where he ministered with Heidi Baker and Colin McGear in Bishkek. Dave also visited cities in the south. You should receive Dave’s report on this trip within the next few days. As you can all guess, they had a heavenly time over there!

We have been working for many years with a 10 000 member church in Kyrgystan, and God has been greatly blessing the training of church planters in that region (Central Asia).

FIRST STEPS IN BOSNIA

Maryna has finally arrived in Bosnia a few days ago and is taking her first steps in starting to minister there. You will remember that God has used her mightily in the last two years to bring healing and salvation amongst the youth and community of Kursk in the Central Region of Russia.

The first days in Bosnia are still difficult with people very despondent – we ask you to pray for abundant grace on Maryna to learn the language and get the wheels rolling. Pray that the Lord will open the eyes of the people for Him.

MINISTRY IN MOSCOW

God is continuing to bless our Moscow church – although a big part of the church is away on holiday or ministry, the church continues to grow! I am really looking forward to September/October, when everybody will be back and we will move into another gear in Moscow.

I am also looking forward to establish the rhythm of taking more and more men on encounters out of Moscow every 40 days. I foresee a coming surge in salvation amongst men in Russia and I believe that it is one of the major keys for revival in Russia.

VISIT TO SOUTH AFRICA

We are planning to be in South Africa before the end of July and spend August there. Apart of key meetings, ministry and visiting with family and friends, we will have our annual holiday on the South Coast, which is a fixed event on the Van Niekerk calendar.

Before we leave for South Africa, our documents still need to be finalized. We know that God is blessing us in this also and it will all be done in His perfect timing. Thank you for your faithful prayers in this.

FIVE FOLD FOCUS

I want to introduce you to five pillars in the vision of our ministry. Today will be the introduction, later on we will talk more about it:

1. The love of the FATHER.
2. The grace of JESUS.
3. The fellowship of the HOLY SPIRIT
4. KINGDOM vision
5. Life through MULTIPLICATION.

With love from Russia,

Hugo, Rika and the Mission Russia team

    Hello

I am planning on coming to Moscow in September for a conference I would love to fellowship with my brothers and sisters of Russia. I live in Texas and it is always the highlights of my trips to see my family. I would like to get the address of the church so I can stop by for services.
