Kingdom of Heaven Church
Vision For A City Church
Posted on November 2, 2009
Dear Friends and Fellow Kingdom Citizens,
Today, during our Sunday service in the Kingdom of Heaven Church in Moscow, I once again emphasized a few key pointers for the vision of our church:
- The Key Scripture is Mat. 6:10 “Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
- The Motto of our church is “Heaven in Every Home”
- Our Church is going to become a One Million Member City Church. An integral part of that vision is to plant a local church in each of Moscow’s 123 districts. Even before the average size of each local church will be 10 000 members, the total amount of city church members will already be more than one million.
- Consequently we have a vision for preparing ministers for all those churches on a constant basis.
- We have a vision for nation-wide and global church planting. As our light shines far into the nations, it will also shine brightly at home.
- The vision will be fulfilled by abiding in Christ and learning how to get into and stay in the flow and anointing of the Holy Spirit. We don’t believe that a high-powered, pressurized atmosphere will result in the abundant fruit we are looking for. Rather, an atmosphere of faith, hope and love will produce fruit that will multiply and last for all eternity. (See Jn. 15:16)
- We believe that each member has his important and unique place in the family of God. As we humbly and respectfully take hands with one another, always focusing on Christ alone, we will see the multitudes of Moscow and Russia come to God the Father to worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Wherever you are, if you want to become actively involved in this vision, whether it be by praying, giving or coming over, I would like to hear from you!
With love in Christ,
Hugo

Here are two audio sermons by Mario Steyn, a pastor from Lewende Woord (Living Word) Church in South Africa, at Kingdom of Heaven Church in Moscow during an intensive ministry visit in March/April 2009.
The first few minutes are purely in Russian, but when Mario begins the sermons are in English with Russian translation.

From Rika: Women’s Day!
Posted on March 5, 2009
I greet you in the wonderful Name of Jesus Christ.
It is almost the 8th of March – Women’s day! It is my joy to tell you that we will once again meet with each other for fellowship and to spend time in God’s life-changing Word. I believe that the Lord has a special gift for you this Women’s day. Please join us on the 7th of March at 12h00 to learn more about our theme for the day:
“Under the wings of the Almighty”
We will meet at the same place where our church services are held – Protopopovski Pereulok, Dom 9, Conference Hall.
In this month’s letter, I would like to tell you about an amazing thing that happened to me. It illustrated so clearly to me how God is interested in the smallest detail of our lives and how He LOVES to surprise us sometimes with so much more than we could think or imagine.
I would like to take you back to 1996… The evening before I was to leave for Amsterdam, Holland to attend a Psalmody Conference. I had just finished the book by Corrie ten Boom called “The Hiding Place”, and the Lord touched my heart deeply with her story.

Update From Hugo
Posted on February 16, 2009
Dear Friends
I am currently taking our Moscow Church – the Kingdom of Heaven Church – through the book of Hebrews. Truly the major keys for taking in our promised land are in that book. Yesterday’s word centered around Hebrews 8-10: THE NEW COVENANT.
I want to focus your attention on Heb. 6:14 – we have to realize that at the heart of the promise is the BLESSING TO MULTIPLY. Time and time again, from the very beginning of time, God has given the command to “be fruitful and multiply.” When Jesus gives the Great Commandment in Mat. 28:19,20 – “Go into all the world” – He was once again reiterating the commandment to multiply.
In whatever we do and invest our energy and resources, we need to ask ourselves the question: “Is there multiplying potential in what I am building?” and “Will it stand the test of fire on The Day? (see 1 Cor. 3). If it is born of the Holy Spirit, be sure that it will stand the test!
Yesterday Dima was confirmed as pastor of our daughter church in Moscow through the laying on of hands. It was a wonderful time in the Lord’s presence, with a release of important prophetic word in his life through the team of leaders who prayed for him.
May God bless you in this week!
In Christ,
Hugo

Our Missionary In Venice!
Posted on January 9, 2009
Dear Friends in Christ,
We are so blessed by our sister Lidia Gaidouk, who went out from our Moscow church to start a church in Venice, Italy!
Let me add that I didn’t tell Lidia to go there; she heard from God, received our blessings and went by faith.
I want to emphasize that this is what God is doing these days: Christians won’t wait anymore on their spiritual leaders to tell them what to do, they will hear from the Holy Spirit and GO out, with the full blessing and support of their spiritual leaders.
A word to pastors and spiritual leaders: what we need to do first and foremost is to create an atmosphere that inspires, where our church members will grow in faith and be encouraged to hear from God and boldly walk out on the water.
I am forwarding Lidia’s letter from Venice, Italy to you. Please forward this letter to more Christians and consider visiting Lidia in Venice. I have just spoken to her by phone; she says that they are on a beautiful island 10 minutes by ferry off the mainland.

Letter From Rika To The Women
Posted on December 13, 2008
Dear Friend,
Greetings and blessing to you – from Russia with love – in Jesus’ name! Our Father is blessing us with exciting advancement in Moscow and Russia.
My dear sister in Christ
This is my second letter to you and I hope and pray that you were as blessed as I was with our two women’s meetings that we had in October and November. In this letter I want to share a certain part of my journey with the Lord with you, as well as the lessons that I have learned in that specific time:
It was July of 1994. At daybreak, our train rolled into the border post on the Latvian side of the border. Hugo and I were too naive and our Russian language skills too limited to understand what was about to take place. Our Russian speaking travel companion however, understood too well that we were about to be thrown off the train. And so it happened, the Latvian border guards gave one long look at our travel documents and then ordered us to get off the train with them.

Beloved in Jesus, thank you very much indeed for all your faithful prayers and love! It makes all the difference.
FROM HUGO
Hi!
On Sunday we had a very blessed service. During the worship I felt very strongly to call the people to the front for healing. Quite a number of people witnessed of healing and that they experienced a most wonderful warmth over their bodies. Praise the Lord! At the end of the service three people came to the front to give their total being to Jesus! Two men and a lady, and one of them received their healing today. It is wonderful when this happens!

From Rika To The Women

My dear sister in Christ,
I greet you in the wonderful Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. In this first letter I would like to tell you a little bit more about myself and also what the Lord put on my heart concerning the women’s ministry in our church for the next year.
I was born in a small town in South Africa and I grew up on my parent’s farm as the youngest of five children. I have one brother and three sisters and all of us, together with my parents, love the Lord and serve Him. I remember my childhood years as filled with love, laughter and playing outside, usually barefoot, in our garden (which was as big as a small park). I also remember many lessons in faith as we constantly prayed and trusted the Lord for enough rain for a good harvest!

Mission Russia Updates
Posted on October 9, 2008
Hi Everyone!
I trust you all had a wonderfully blessed week.
Corrie Zaayman is engaged! The chosen young lady is Olesya. Corrie writes:
“Olesya Penkova and I were engaged last week. At first we did it in South African style, when I asked her to marry me in a beautiful restaurant. The Russian Christians, however, get engaged in church before their family in Christ, and therefore our engagement was then announced during the Sunday service after which the congregation prayed for us. That’s why we’re now able to formally announce it.
