Good morning dear Friends

Olesya is a qualified Speech Therapist!!

She finished the last presentation with excellent grades. She keeps testifying of God’s grace over nearly six years of study. Obviously she is very relieved that it is all over and now we are praying about the next steps to know where God wants to use her in future. We thank you all for your prayers, support and messages of encouragement.

Faith Works – News From Corrie And Olesya

Posted on October 10, 2009

Dear Friend

Yes! Faith works!

Heb 11:1  NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Olesya with our car!The proof of this Biblical truth and the proof of God’s faithfulness – in the photo you can see Olesya standing with the Chevrolet Lanos God has provided. I told you before that God said we will receive the car only through faith. Because of the word God gave us, we booked the car when we did not have the money to pay for it. Up till now I still cannot calculate the total cost and I don’t know where all the money came from. There were so many things we had to pay at different places and every time the money was available. If I knew about all the extra costs, we probably would not have started. But, God is faithful! We thank all of you who contributed. Already we can see how the car has taken our ministry into a new dimension.

North-South-East-West?This is “hi” to you, our dear friends, from the missionaries – in UKRAINE now!

Grace To You & Peace From God Our Father And The Lord Jesus Christ.

I consider myself to be very thorough, diligent and careful and yet I made so made so many mistakes over the last few months. We eventually came to the conclusion that God was somehow in this & wherever we found ourselves, was where He wanted us to be and with who He wanted us to be with.

Dave and Frances van den Berg

Dave and Frances van den Berg

Hi from Sholkova (Near Moscow),

We arrived back in Russia on the 27th June, 4 days ago. It is great to be back home having been away for three months. We have just returned from Armenia, so most of this newsletter will be a report back on our ministry there.

On Route to Armenia
We had to order wheelchairs to take Frances through the airports on route to Armenia because of the bunion operation on her foot. We were given priority  treatment all the way, never had to stand in queues and given special favors at all the airports. We flew from Johannesburg to Dubai, Dubai to London and from London to Yerevan in Armenia. From Dubai to London, we flew on the worlds largest airline, the Airbus A380. There were 800 passengers on board. After 30 long hours we finally arrived in Armenia.

Hi dear Friends

GRACE TO YOU & PEACE FROM GOD OUR FATHER AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

Thank you for spending this monthly “10 minutes of fellowship” with me, listening to all I want to share with you

THE “TWO LIGHTS”

LampLight BulbOn our arrival in Moscow on a visit, instead of greeting us as the “Tula-ites” (as you know we live in Tula), Philip greeted us with “Welcome to the Two Lights!”  I don’t know if it was accidental or on purpose, but it sounds good hey?  Nice to be called “Two lights” – for JESUS of course. From the 15th of June we might be called the “Ukrainian knights” :)

To take, or not to take, that is the question…

GOVERNMENT OF GOD

carol-20090513-openheaven...I will shake the heavens and the earth. And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the [ungodly] nations, and I will overthrow the chariots and those who ride in them, and the horses and their riders shall go down, every one by the sword of his brother.” Haggai 2:21-22

“And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heavens shall be given to the people of the saints fo the Most High; His Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.Daniel 7:27

Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the time forth, even forevermore.  The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.Isaiah 9:7

Update From Dave And Frances

Dave and Frances van den Berg

Hi from Moscow,

The weather is beginning to warm up.  Today the temperature has risen to about 0 degrees.  In about a month we will begin to see the end of winter and the coming of spring.  Spring time in Russia is a wonderful season.  It happens so fast.  For months and months everything is grey and colorless then almost overnight everything turns green.

On the 26th February we traveled by train to Lysva, which lies in the Urals.  We held a number of meetings and also spent time with the leaders. On Saturday 28th we held two seminars.  There was a great move of the Holy Spirit and many opened their hearts to receive a fresh encounter with the Holy Spirit.  During this time I was struggling with quite a bad dose of flu.  However, I preached on Sunday morning service and two people received the Lord.  Despite the fact that I felt as sick as a dog, we were whisked off to pray for many people.  The first one was a severely demonized young man, the second for a young boy who was an invalid and the third for a young girl who was paralyzed in a car accident.

Kursk Nightingales’ Testimonies On Bosnia Mission Trip 2009

Posted on February 20, 2009

Prophecy from Rita in South Africa:
As she was praying, she saw a crack in a shell. Something was coming out of the crack, and it was foul-smelling because the shell was closed for a very long time. She sees how we are praying and a wonderful aroma of Jesus starts penetrating the shell; and this shell, she says, is a seed, a big seed. Then it becomes alive and a green shoot comes out from it. It’s a big seed, but it was sterile and dead. Repentance, love and the Word will crack the shell. The seed is a start of life and it is life that God will give this nation. Because this seed has been dead for a long time, it will come alive. She asked God the name of the seed and it was RESTORATION (of life, of relationships, of the country, of finances, of families etc.).

From Bosnia – The Power Of Prayer

Posted on February 12, 2009

Good day from Bosnia!

The Lord has been dealing very much with me regarding the Truth and religion, serving Him with clean hands, clean lips and a clean heart.

I am experiencing much opposition from the Pentecostal church with whom I am connected.  They have had some bad experiences with missionaries who came to Sarajevo. People whom they trusted, who promised the world and then behaved badly and then disappointed them so much. This resulted in all doors being closed and coldness towards new missionaries.  This rejection was not directed at me personally, but I did experience it very much and had a hard time to keep on loving and forgiving them, remembering that their names too, are written in the Hand palms of our Master.  Most short term missionaries (3 months at a time) come here with pockets full of money, spoiling the church. It was my opinion, that every missionary who comes to Sarajevo had to pay the way, to be accepted. This was one door, through which I could not and would not enter.

Letter From Rika To The Women

Posted on December 13, 2008

Dear Friend,

Greetings and blessing to you – from Russia with love – in Jesus’ name! Our Father is blessing us with exciting advancement in Moscow and Russia.

My dear sister in Christ

This is my second letter to you and I hope and pray that you were as blessed as I was with our two women’s meetings that we had in October and November. In this letter I want to share a certain part of my journey with the Lord with you, as well as the lessons that I have learned in that specific time:

It was July of 1994. At daybreak, our train rolled into the border post on the Latvian side of the border. Hugo and I were too naive and our Russian language skills too limited to understand what was about to take place. Our Russian speaking travel companion however, understood too well that we were about to be thrown off the train. And so it happened, the Latvian border guards gave one long look at our travel documents and then ordered us to get off the train with them.
